"Be the band you want to be." - Simon Cowell
~If we don't post during the week, we'll post during the
weekend!~
Is there a video of that or something? My thoughts are the same as yours. xx

I have an aunt who works in the entertainment business. She works for Bell Media and such which is fairly big here in Canada and so, Bell Media is a large company or whatever with a lot of branches, one of which being Much Music Television which the boys have appeared on numerous times here in Toronto. Naturally, being in the entertainment business and having a lot of friends who are as well, my aunt is familiar with Modest! Management and their work. Last summer, during a family get together, I asked her if she could get me tickets to see the boys for my upcoming birthday. She said that she could pull a few strings because she knew and/or had connections to people that worked for them. She then rolled her eyes and explained to me how she’d rather I asked for someone else because she “didn’t want to have to deal with those blokes” because they were so “strict” and said that it’d be really difficult for her to get them. She pondered over it for a while and changed her mind, saying that it would be too much trouble with Modest! and such. She also, being the type of woman she is, continued to talk badly about the company. She was kind of vague, saying the typical, “Oh, you know, they’re just really…” and such. She also mentioned a lot how they lost a lot of clients and she had “no idea why the biggest boyband would be signed to them, of all people.” She scoffed and rolled her eyes a few times. Basically, Modest! is like the 2 Chainz of entertainment and music. No one even knows why they’re there.
This is definitely helpful [and a bit funny], thank you SO much for sending this to us! xx

Er hii :) I’ve looked at this picture so many times, but now is when I just noticed that thing on Niall’s knee (in his pants) it looks like a plate of some sort. Is it for his knee injury? Or maybe I’m just seeing things…
You’re not seeing things, he does have something for his knee because of his injury! Still, it is not enough, as you can see here what he needs is a surgery. xx

I met harry at an art show i didnt ask for a pic but we walked by him a few times and in all my life i have never seen a tinier boy. He is so short and skinny and I bet he exercises loads everyday. And this new ‘healthy diet’ they’ve been put on for tour… Perhaps to make them super skinnier? Stress skinniness? Also liam had a mcdonalds bag put into the back of his car when he left a club but i doubt he ate it, probs put there to make him look ‘normal’ like every other drunk person not in showbiz but sadly he now has to watch his weight (liam is so skinny). Zayns smoking only and barely eating i bet cos he is scarily skinny now and niall is sooooo skinny in his tight tops scary, not gonna help his injury if hes on a limiting diet.
I never heard about them having a diet except for Zayn (x), but I’m sure they’re on one supposedly to be more physically attractive. It’s probably not a healthy one… xx

OK so not sure if you already have or heard of this or if this is useful but just thought I might let you know. I was talking to my Dad who also works in directing a lot of shows and productions when different artists come out on tour, so he has a pretty good idea of what happens in the music industry and the types of people the artists management are. He talked about how the managements of these artists/bands are pretty tough-skinned people and theres not a lot of nice management teams out there. They work is organising interviews, publicity, promos etc and that also the managements can give the artist advice in terms of how they should behave in the public eye and what to do and what not to do. They also have quite a lot of control over the artist - after all they’ve pretty much signed themselves over to the artist. He also said the work-loads were VERY strenuous and then he began to talk about contracts. So basically if you sign up for a two year contract but then a year later the artist wants to drop you, both parties (the management and artist) have to come to an agreement (which 9/10 times they don’t) so it can end in quite sticky legal situations, people getting sued etc etc. So basically, if One Direction WERE to change managements before their contract ended, it could end up in a pretty bad legal situation and they could be sued for a lot of money. Anyways, hope this helped. :)
I already know about all of this and already mentioned all of it on the Tumblr but still, thank you so much! :) xx

Hey, so Niall has a torn knee ligaments and I hurt my knee late last year, it was a growing thing but what happened was that, my bone was growing but my muscles and ligaments weren’t so my bone was pushing against my ligament and it hurt like hell! I do netball (not professionally) but my coach is very competitive and well I was running on court and I was running around, as much as I could and when the whistle went, I went to the stairs where the spectators were and my knee gave way. I was in so much pain, I was crying my eyes out. I can’t even imagine how Niall is feeling. I know this isn’t really that helpful but Nialler is in a shit load of pain right now and management is pushing him. Love your blog xx
It is helpful because it shows that this is something we should be worried about! Thank you so much! :) xx

It is unfair of you to blame Modest! because the videos were on the official The X-Factor Youtube account and the One Direction ones weren’t the only ones that were deleted but also were Cher Lloyd’s and Matt Cardle’s video diaries.
